Why won’t my garage door open (or close)?

There are several reasons why your garage door might not open or close. They can include the following:
 

• Door out of balance
• Door out of alignment
• Door is not connected to opener trolley
• Safety sensor issue
• Problem within opener (capacitor, motor, motherboard, etc)
• Roller came out of track
• Torsion spring broken
• Extension spring broken
• Horizontal overhead track is out of alignment
• Remote control issue
• Broken, tangled or loose cables
• Force limits out of alignment

How do I make my Garage door more quiet?

There are several things that we can do to reduce the nose your garage door makes when being operated.

• Replace worn rollers
• Replace the opener with a newer model
• Make sure door is balanced and aligned
• Add insulation to door (could also require a new spring)
• Lubricate the spring

Can I change my own garage door spring?

NO! We do not recommend untrained persons attempt to change your spring(s). Severe injury or even death can occur while changing a spring. Our technicians are highly trained and experienced so they are ready and equipped to handle this task for you.
 

Is a new garage door worth the investment?

Yes! Upgrading or replacing an outdated garage door usually will increase the overall value of your home more than the cost of the door. We can also replace openers or add an automatic opener to a manually operated door. This will provide a safer and more valuable solution to operating your door(s).
